My boys come over last night

Stephen and Nick came over for a while yesterday, We hadn't seen them in years. I was surprised to see them, we had a good time catching up on what they had been doing.

Dial up

I haven't posted much on this I'm getting so sick of dial up. I don't post any pictures to flickr seems like most web sites time me out before I can get anything done. We are getting two high speed by satellite accounts on Jan. 7 then we'll see how much I get done. We will no longer be in the cave banging rocks together trying to download the latest utube video.

Well Rods home and loving it, we have been working on cleaning the shop. I'll post some pictures when I get something cool or interesting.

Well its Tuesday night we'll be leaving in a couple hours to get Rod.

Rod's get out date has been changed from Tuesday to Wednesday, He seemed ok with it.

I hadn't posted much this year seems busy, or am I getting slower? Rod said he may have to wait to the following Monday to get out. Thin it will be 24 days either way it's getting close.

Long over due

I haven't posted in a while, sure have been busy. Rod has 41 days left.

Letter to Rod Sun 6-8

6-8-08

Sunday 10:30 am Rod,

We have a windy day, which is nice since it is pretty hot. We have already got the yard mowed and Wayne & Sherry ran the weed eaters. There are still lots of sticks on the grass from last week-end’s hail/storm. It looks much better. Wayne says we have no shortage of wood to cut.

They said the dogs ran a young deer out of my back yard this morning. I was afraid he had eaten my gourds or tomatoes, but I can’t see any bites.

Sis called yesterday said she was hurting again & has a doctor appointment on Monday. Maybe she will find out something and finish the tests the doctor wanted done.

Not much new

We have been cutting wood this week getting a head start on next winter.
The chickens seem to be doing good.
I sorted the cows this week got 20 calves in the coral waiting on the vet.

I got an email from Jennnie and a blog post from Tim thanks, and a card from Rod. Go figure it's a Dayspring Card.

TJ, Diann and the girls came over last night. We had a nice visit and fixed a tire on his truck.

Cool Song

I don't make my way over to this blog to post very often ever, but I'd like to. Part of the problem is that I can't get to the site from work anymore (blogs on blogspot.com are now blocked for some reason), and I don't usually think of it when I get home. I do get to read it every day with Google Reader, though.

Anyway... I heard this cool song on a TV commercial today and tracked it down. It's actually by Robert Plant, the Led Zeppelin guy.

We got back ok

We got back at 10PM Saturday night, the trip went well. Rod seemed to be ok we had a good visit. He had got the books we sent, but he can only have two at a time. He had just got in trouble he had saved up 90 letters and a few magazines he ended up throwing away all his letters. I told him it's not worth being in trouble after reading our stuff trash it. He said in here nothing is yours and it's hard to trash what is yours.

I'll add to this later got to go to chicken house.

Same old thing

There seems to be a lot going on right now, but there always is. We are going to see Rod tomorrow Joe and Denna are coming over to help Sherry with the eggs.

I got a letter from Rod yesterday he said we was tickled with the magazine I sent and the two Tim sent. He hadn't got the two books I had sent, they should have been there the day after he mailed that letter so maybe he got it by now.

The chickens are at full speed now were happy with the numbers.

The weather is getting better, I can't wait to start being outside all day and not be cold.

We had our second calf out of the new bull yesterday it looks real good!

I'll post when we get back.

Mom going to Tim's

Mom was leaving after work today heading to Tim's and spend the night. I think they leave for Florida early I'll update as I hear from them, unless Tim posts something here.

We are under way.

We got the nest down yesterday, got around 90 eggs per house today.

trip to Luxora Arkansas

We went and seen Rod Saturday the trip went well, it was good to see him. We also stopped at a few resale shops on the way and one John deere dealer to take pictures of a 8330

Long Trip

Well its 1/13/08 Sunday morning seven a.m. I’m up a little late, we got in from seeing Rod at midnight. The trip home went ok took us 8 hours. The trip over there took 9 hours, we went a little better road coming home.

We sure were glad to see him it was well worth the drive.

Were off to see Rod

I'm up early feeding chickens, that all went well. We are thinking about going to see Rod next Saturday it's around a six hour drive.
